As we now sit two hundred thirty-nine years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we pause to express gratefulness for the work of our founding fathers and the freedoms we richly enjoy. We also pause to consider the spiritual condition of our nation in light of Scripture. It is our prayer and cry that God would truly restore to our nation what alone can make it great – the glory of God.
